Fire ban in Queensland
A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) local fire ban applies in parts of south-western, central and north Queensland, due to very high/extreme fire danger. All wood fires are prohibited on parks and forests in affected areas. Gas fuel and electric stoves only may be used. This restriction will apply until conditions improve. For more information on the QFRS fire ban visit www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au.
