Congratulations to new ecoBiz Partners
Ten new businesses have achieved partnership status in DERM’s ecoBiz program.
This means they have worked with DERM to complete the ecoBiz steps to eco-efficiency – measuring, developing, implementing and reassessing their agreed action plan to save energy, water and waste.
The new ecoBiz partners are:-
- Design House architecture practice
- Goprint, the Queensland Government printer
- Mirvac Orion shopping centre at Springfield
- Noosa backpackers accommodation lodge and restaurant Halse Lodge
- NoosaCare’s aged care services facility at Carramar
- Queensland Complete Printing Services
- Tewantin Noosa RSL
- The Queensland Government’s Corporate Administration Agency
- Tool Tech, producers of plastic products, metal stampings and press tools
- Waste collection company JJ Richards and Sons.
There are now 37 ecoBiz partners altogether. Their combined eco-efficiency achievements have so far reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 22,700 tonnes and saved about 155 million litres of water. These sustainability benefits have led to cost savings of more than $393,000 in energy use, and more than $467, 000 in water.
