Current activities

The Snapper Rocks East outlet discharging a sand-water mixture
Current activities associated with the Tweed River Entrance Sand Bypassing Project (TRESBP) are:
- The Sand Bypassing System is now delivering material to Snapper Rocks East
- Dredging of the Tweed River Entrance is currently being undertaken
Sand pumping occurs primarily at night, except under specific conditions such as system testing or storm events during which continuous operations may occur. When outlets are operating it is in your interest to keep clear for safety reasons.
