Monitoring update

27 April 2009

The following report covers inspections of the Cyanobacterium, Lyngbya majuscula in areas of Moreton Bay by officers of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife, local Councils and other observers. The inspections are to determine and report any changes in the coverage and density of Lyngbya. Lyngbya surveys consist of examining randomly selected sites for Lyngbya growth along set transects from a small boat and shore based coastline inspections for deposited Lyngbya.
