Referable Areas Mapping
This website enables you to perform a property search and obtain a ‘Map of Referable Areas’ in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) that can be e-mailed to a valid e-mail address.
Information about your map request is collected and logged for quality assurance and product enhancement purposes only.
Map Details
- Information shown on the map includes current data for referable wetlands, conservation estate (Protected areas, recreation areas, state marine parks, World Heritage Areas and Brisbane Forest Park), QLD Heritage Register, roads, cadastral boundaries and towns.
- Map elements include a scalebar, locality diagram, legend and graticule showing latitudes and longitudes.
- Referable wetlands contained on the maps are those identified in the ‘Map of referable wetlands’ defined under ‘wetland’ in Schedule 14 of the Integrated Planning Regulation 1998.
- The maps contain a 100m buffer around the boundary of the selected property. Sites containing a heritage registered place, or identified as containing a wetland or conservation estate in or within the 100m buffer require referral to the EPA if the proposed development is for the activities outlined in Schedule 2 of the Integrated Planning Regulation 1998 (see the Advice Agency role under IPA/IDAS page of the EPA website).
- The maps are produced at a scale relevant to the size of the lot on plan identified.
- Consideration of the effects of mapped scale is necessary when interpreting data at a larger scale, (eg: 1:25,000). For property assessment, digital linework should be used as a guide only.
- The Referable Area maps are A3 portrait and should be printed at this size.
- Only one Lot on Plan number can be entered with each request.
- The map will show cadastre lines in the vicinity.
- The Lot on Plan number needs to be entered without spaces.
- If the Lot on Plan number is invalid you will receive an email advising that the request for a map has failed.
- The Lot on Plan number is not case sensitive, i.e. 'a' is the same as 'A'.
