Policies and strategies

The Environmental Protection Agency, in consultation with state and local government, business, industry, community groups and other interested groups, develops environmental protection policies and strategies to help provide frameworks and guidelines for managing Queensland’s environment.

Under Queensland’s Environmental Protection Act 1994, environmental protection policies are developed to cover specific aspects of the environment. Approved policies include:
