Queensland has the most diverse range of wetlands in Australia – reason enough to celebrate this World Wetlands Day. To find out what’s happening in your area on 2 February, visit our events calendar.

New products
The mapping and classification of Queensland’s wetlands is now complete. Maps are available through the Queensland Wetlands Program interactive map server or as a pdf. You can order the complete dataset through the Environmental Protection Agency data co-ordinator.

The Queensland Wetlands Program has developed an online tool to help you identify legislation, policy and planning instruments relevant to your area of interest.

The latest guide for rehabilitating wetlands in Queensland is now available. The Rehabilitation Guidelines for the Great Barrier Reef catchment is available online or in hardcopy. The guidelines were prepared by Wetlandcare Australia on behalf of the Queensland Wetlands Program. They are a practical guide to rehabilitating wetlands and managing threats such as pests, weeds and fire. To order your copy, contact wetlands@derm.qld.gov.au.

The Queensland Wetlands Program has also released a range of products on 18th December 2008.
